Yahoo! has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit brought against the it by pay-per-click search advertising customers in 2006.
The suit alleged that Yahoo! breached its contract with its advertisers. Additional allegations include unjust enrichment, misrepresentation, civil conspiracy, and unfair business practices.
Under the terms of the settlement Yahoo! will pay a refund in the amount of $20 to each eligible class member, and claim forms must be submitted no later than March 22, 2010.
Lawyers' fees for this case are a reported $4,170,000, while the three class representatives will receive $10,000 each.
