New York, NY: A class action lawsuit was filed against the company for allegedly failing to provide pension plan members with complete and accurate information about the company's financial health. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of over 10,000 Visteon employees for pension plan losses. The class action lawsuit claimed Visteon was spun off from Ford Motor in 2000 and was ill-prepared to compete and was surrounded with significant risks. A federal US district judge has provisionally approved a $7.6 million settlement to Visteon employees. (Jan-17-07)
