American Electric Power Co. Inc.

New York, California, and six other states brought a class action lawsuit to a New York Federal court against several major utilities companies for carbon dioxide emissions. The lawsuit was dismissed by the federal judge on grounds that the issue was of a political nature and could not be resolved in the judiciary system. The defendants, American Electric Power Co.
