A $10 million settlement has been reached and is pending approval in the class action lawsuit filed against United Parcel Service Inc. on behalf of deaf employees. The suit alleged that UPS discriminated against more than 900 current and former hearing-impaired employees by excluding them from workplace information, denying opportunities for promotion, and exposing them to unsafe conditions due to lack of accommodation.
