A settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of residents of the state of Pennsylvania. The suit alleged that by adding an undisclosed fuel surcharge to the invoices of more than 121,000 Pennsylvania residents between July and December 2000, the company had violated the state's Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law. The company will reimburse or credit consumers for the surcharge, stop collecting unclear fees, submit a report of payment, and pay $40,000 for investigation costs. (Oct-20-03)
