An investigation by The U.S. Justice Department in 2003 found that Toyboyo bullet proof vests made with Zylon, the material used in Second Chance vests, could be penetrated by bullets. Toyboyo, manufacturer of Zylon used in the lightweight vests, agreed to a $29 million settlement as part of a class action lawsuit filed in Oklahoma in July 2005. Sixty-five police departments in the state of Massachusetts will receive nearly $1 million from Toyboyo. (Jul-11-06)
