A class action lawsuit was filed against the city and its police department for performing illegal strip searches. The class included people who were strip searched after being arrested on charges that didn't involve drugs or weapons from March 1998 through August 2000. A federal Judge has awarded the class a $1.7 million settlement. (Apr-02-05)
