The ruling of the district Court of Appeal in the class action lawsuit filed in 1986 in regards to the Northern California floods has been upheld by the California Supreme Court. The Court found that the state was liable to the roughly 3,000 plaintiffs who were forced to evacuate their homes when a levee break sent a wall of water crashing through the town of Linda.
