A class action lawsuit was filed against the supply store for allegedly violating Massachusetts item-pricing regulations. Staples has agreed to hand out $7.50 store vouchers to the first 1,200 shoppers at each of its 64 stores throughout the state of Massachusetts. The date of this 'Consumer Day' has not yet been announced. A total of $576,000 in vouchers will be handed out. Since February 2000, Staples has spent $3.9 million complying with the state's item-pricing regulations. (Jan-11-06)
