Shareholders filed a securities fraud class action lawsuit the semiconductor company in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. The suit was filed on behalf of shareholders who purchased securities of Sipex Corporation between April 10, 2003 and January 20, 2005. Sipex has agreed to a preliminary $6 million class action settlement. (Jan-18-06)
