Tucson, AZ: (Mar-05-07) James Rhodes, owner of Rhodes Homes Arizona, was charged by the Arizona Corporation Commission regarding the credibility of his companies and whether Rhodes was indeed a fit and proper person to conduct business in Arizona. A class action lawsuit was filed over houses built in Las Vegas, which were allegedly built in a sub standard manner. The class action was resolved against Rhodes with a payout of $16.2 million, the largest construction defect settlement in Nevada. Though Rhodes did not accept responsibility, he paid $200,000; the rest was covered by his insurance provider.
