The January magnesium fire at an Anderson recycling plant forced thousands of residents to evacuate their homes. Two separate class actions were filed against Advanced Magnesium for lost income and damages. They have agreed to settle claims for $1 million. Residents will receive $200 each and business owners will receive $1000 each. (Oct-23-05)
