A lawsuit was filed and was seeking class action status on behalf of New York residents against radio station WLTW 106.7 FM. The lawsuit claimed the station violated federal rules by making thousands of unsolicited prerecorded telephone calls to residences to promote and advertise the station. The case also alleged Clear Channel violated federal laws designed to curb unwanted telemarketing calls. A U.S. District Judge has dismissed the case. (Jan-06-06)
