In 1992, an elderly white woman was attacked and noted her attacker was black. Police used a list of Oneonta State University's black students for questioning. Sixty students, most of whom where male, at Oneonta State were questioned shortly after the attack and tried to file a class action lawsuit claiming racial profiling by police. A Court of Claims Judge has dismissed the case noting that police can request information supported by an objective. (Feb-15-06)
