A class action lawsuit was filed against the telephone company on behalf of over 3,500 retired employees from the United States. The suit claimed Qwest breached a long standing telephone company commitment to provide concessions to retirees and improperly terminated the benefits to retirees living outside Qwest's local phone service territory. Plaintiffs will get free domestic long distance telephone service for life and a one time $300 payment. (Jun-23-05)
