Norwalk, CT: (May-04-07) A securities class action lawsuit was filed against Priceline.com Inc. in 2003. In a settlement reached, Priceline.com agreed to pay the class $80 million in return for a release, with prejudice, of all claims against the company and the individual defendants that are related to the purchase of the company's securities by class members during the class period. $30 million of the settlement will be funded by the company's insurance carriers. In connection with the settlement, Priceline.com expects to incur a net charge of approximately $55 million in the 1st quarter of 2007, representing the settlement amount and estimated legal expenses relating to the settlement. The company also announced that in March and April it had received definitive notice from the Internal Revenue Service that its previously disclosed refund request for excise taxes paid on merchant airline tickets had been approved for payment.

So Priceline rep responds to my private message, and says the same thing. They will not refund my money. They have $191.00 of my money for a trip that I cannot take. DO NOT USE THIS SITE! They refuse to give the refund. Their site clearly states that one can cancel before noon the day of the stay at the hotel, and get a full, FULL Refund. They say this twice on that site and apparently hide the true cancellation fee at the very bottom of the page - after stating that you will get a full refund. The CANCELLATION FEE IS A FULL NIGHT STAY FOLKS. DON'T USE THIS SITE.
