A $430 million settlement has been reached in the criminal suit brought by the US government in regards to the company's illegal marketing of the epilepsy drug Neurontin for other unapproved uses, such as for migraines and pain. The subsidiary of Pfizer has agreed to a nationwide class action settlement for prescribing the epilepsy drug Neurontin for other disorders. The U.S. FDA approved Neurontin in 1993 to treat seizures in epilepsy patients. After thorough investigations, it was discovered the drug was being prescribed 90% of the time to non approved ailments from bipolar disorder to headaches. The drug manufacture is set to pay a $430 million nationwide settlement. (May-13-04)

I have suffered from seizures, depression, lost movement in my hand and burned it severly, feel tired all the time, have trouble focusing, feelings of anger, problems breathing off and on, dizziness and some other issues. that have cost me my job, as well as made it difficult for me to gain employment due to my conditions caused from this medicine.
