Nearly 600 minority police officers from New York filed a class action lawsuit against the department alleging racial discrimination. The victims claimed the NYPD created a hostile work environment for African American and Latino cops, particularly in regards to disciplinary matters. The NYPD agreed to a $17 million class action settlement in 2004. The 576 officers will now receive awards ranging from $3,500 to $400,000. (Nov-22-05)

I am now retired NYPD Det. I currently lave an existing case discrimination against African American for not meeting summons quotas, singling out minority officers for diciplinary action.
I'm in interested in new council.
