A class action suit against the graphics processing chips and cards maker Nvidia has been settled, according to documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 16.
The suit alleged that "Nvidia and ATI had conspired to fix, raise, maintain and stabilize prices of graphics processing chips and cards." It also alleged that ATI and Nvidia "unlawfully colluded to coordinate new product introductions."
The settlement agreement stipulates that the company pay $850,000 into a $1.7 million fund that will be made available for payments to the class.
