An $11.6 million settlement has been reached and is pending approval in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of minority race policyholders. The suit alleged that the company violated plaintiffs' civil rights by "knowingly and intentionally charging racial minorities more for the policies than the company charged similarly situated Caucasians."
