A class action lawsuit was filed against the former McDonald's restaurant franchise owner claiming employees did not receive wages due them under California state and federal law and were retaliated against for speaking out about wage policies. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of employees who worked at any one of the seven Magruder owned McDonald's restaurants in Marin from July 20, 2000 through December 31, 2004. The former fast food owner has agreed to a $1.45 million class action settlement. (Mar-14-06)
