A class action was filed against the Israeli bank and Gadish provident fund for allegedly charging commissions 2.5-12% higher than those charged by other banks and their provident funds. The plaintiffs claimed that the difference amounted to millions of shekels a year. Hapoalim has agreed to a NIS $80 million class action settlement for overcharging members of the Gadish provident fund. (Nov-14-05)
