A $6 million dollar settlement has been reached between Halliburton Co. and investors in regards to several shareholder class action lawsuits pending against the company. The suits alleged improper accounting practices at the firm during Vice President Dick Cheney's tenure as chief executive. Twenty class action lawsuits were consolidated against the company, each in regards to construction projects which occurred in 1998 and involved cost overruns.
