Las Vegas, NV: (Oct-15-07) A class action lawsuit was brought against the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, alleging that the local gun range engaged in fraud and racketeering at the resort. The class action was filed in 2005 by some class members, claiming that apart from racketeering and fraud, there was also breach of contract. At issue, according to court documents, were people who purchased memberships between 1997 and 2003 and paid substantially higher prices than those who joined later.
In a settlement reached, the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute agreed to pay $8 million to resolve the class action dispute. Under its terms, qualified Front Sight members will receive a full refund with the total amount not to exceed $8 million. [KLAS TV NEWS: GUN RANGE MEMBERS]
