Shareholders tried to file a class action lawsuit against the tire manufacturer and certain of its current and former officers alleging securities fraud. A United States District Court Judge ordered a dismissal of the class noting the plaintiffs had failed to sufficiently set forth particularized facts to support their claim related to Goodyear's previous restatement of financial results.
