Shareholders filed a class action lawsuit and several derivative lawsuits against the home loan company over alleged accounting errors in connection with the restatement of financial results for the years 2000 through 2002. The class action cases and the shareholder derivative lawsuits were consolidated and are pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The mortgage financing company has agreed to a $410 million proposed class action settlement. (Apr-20-06)
