Settlements and Verdicts: First Union National Bank.

A $23 million settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed by trust fund customers. The suit alleged that First Union, now merged with Wachovia Bank, charged taxes to plaintiffs despite promises the bank made that the transactions would be tax free.
