A tentative settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed against Exxon Corp. (now ExxonMobil), on behalf of an estimated 300 to 700 property owners in Charleston and elsewhere in South Carolina. The suit alleged that the company had contaminated the plaintiffs' land by underground leaks from a former gasoline station which belonged to Exxon.
