Shareholders tried to file a consolidated securities class action lawsuit against the company and certain of its current and former executive officers related to accounting errors discovered by Digimarc in 2004 and rectified through a restatement of certain prior period financial statements. The case was filed on behalf of those who purchased or held common stock between April 17, 2002 and July 28, 2004. The case claimed Digimarc issued false and misleading statements in violation of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The U.S. District Court of Oregon has dismissed the class noting plaintiffs failed to state a case against the company and named executives. (Aug-23-06)
