Salinas, CA: A class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of 3,000 field workers regarding violations of California pay laws form August 4, 1997 to April 15, 2000. The lawsuit claimed farm workers were required to ride D'Arrigo buses from a Salinas parking lot to Salinas Valley work sites, but they were not paid for the travel time. Without admitting guilt, D'Arrigo agreed to pay the workers up to $3.6 million in compensation. (Nov-01-06
