Verizon

California consumers filed a class action lawsuit against the telecommunications company for fraud. Verizon failed to accurately tell prospective customers that its Bluetooth features weren't what they appeared to be; clients were unable to wirelessly sync photos or contacts or any other files using Bluetooth. The class included those who bought Motorola v710 Bluetooth phones on or before January 31, 2005. Verizon has agreed to offer California consumers a $25 credit, the right to cancel the service without further fees along with a refund, or credit toward a new handset if they want to stay with Verizon.
