Wood County Circuit Judge George W. Hill has granted approval to a preliminary settlement in the class action lawsuit filed in August 2001 on behalf of residents of the Lubeck/Washington area. The suit alleged that the company intentionally withheld and misrepresented information concerning the nature and extent of the human health threat posed by C8 contamination in the area's drinking water.
