A settlement has been reached in the class action suit against Bartell Drug Co. The suit was filed on behalf of female employees who claimed that the company's failure to pay for female contraceptives was a form of sexual discrimination. Under the terms of settlement, women who are still employees of Bartell will have no insurance co-payment on prescription contraceptives through 2006, and those who no longer work for the company may submit a claim form to be reimbursed $100 for any prescription contraceptives purchased since 1997.
