Bayer Corp. alleged the company was in violation of patent laws by creating a generic version of the antibiotic Cipro. The US District Court for the Eastern District of New York has granted summary judgment in Barr's favor and rejected Bayer's challenge to the lawfulness of its 1997 settlement. (Mar-31-05)
