Descendants of Armenians killed 90 years ago in the Turkish Ottoman Empire filed a class action lawsuit against the French title insurance company. The lawsuit claimed relatives of people who died were not paid benefits after the alleged genocide of 1.5 million Armenians from 1915 to 1923. As many as 5,000 descendants are set to receive an $11 million class action settlement. Another $3 million will go toward French Armenian charities and the remainder will be used to pay attorney and administrative costs. (Oct-13-05)
