A lawsuit claims that, between 2001 and 2004, Aon Consulting Worldwide was manipulating bids and steering large insurance contracts based on contingent commissions. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners filed the suit and was joined by The Ohio Insurance Department. Aon Consulting, based in Cincinnati, is a subsidiary of Aon Corp. and has approximately 68 offices in the US, most of which house a benefits group. A $190 million settlement has been reached, of which $5.4 million will go to more than 8,200 Ohio consumers. (Jun-12-06)
