A class-action lawsuit alleging a conspiracy to fix prices of bath and kitchen fixtures by American Standard and others has been dismissed. The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania ruled that the complaint failed to provide American Standard and other defendants with notice of the grounds upon which the plaintiffs' claims rest and that it lacked any factual background that would give American Standard and other defendants fair notice of the grounds upon which the claims are based. American Standard is a $10.3 billion global manufacturer and employs about 61,000 people with manufacturing operations in 28 countries (Jul-20-06)
