Class action status is being sought in a sexual discrimination lawsuit filed against the Wichita Police Department on behalf of all female officers in the Wichita police force. The suit alleges that the plaintiffs were repeatedly discriminated against, claiming that they were overlooked for desirable assignments, promotions, training and bonuses and that their complaints have gone unresolved. The suit further alleges that some of the plaintiffs have been harassed and/or threatened by male officers on the force, and that complaints to the department were not addressed.
