A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the design and engineering company alleging its sale to URS Corp. is unfair to shareholders. The lawsuit was filed in Delaware Chancery Court in Wilmington and claims Washington Group failed to seek alternative offers. The lawsuit seeks to represent all shareholders and wants to have the judge bar the company from its pending acquisition.
Two major investors are acting as plaintiffs in the suit, Schultze Asset Management LLC owns of 831,317 share of Washington Group and Greenlight Capital Inc. owns 2.9 million shares.
