Medtronic Sales Reps File Unpaid Wages and Overtime Class Action Lawsuit

- by

Los Angeles, CA: Medtronic is facing an unpaid wages and overtime class action lawsuit filed by a former sales representative, John Mitchell, who worked for Medtronic from November 24, 2008 to August 31 2011.

The employment lawsuit is brought on behalf of Mitchell and all Sales Associates who are currently employed or have been employed by Medtronic Inc, within the state of California who 1) at any time prior to the filing of the Sultan Lawsuit did not have their overtime regular rate of pay calculated to include all remuneration, and 2) at any time four years prior to the filing of the Sultan Lawsuit were not given the premium wages mandated for missing meal breaks. The lawsuit alleges that Medtronic is in violation of California labor law regarding meal breaks, overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act waiting time penalties and unfair business practices.

It is likely that there are well over 100 class members and the amount in controversy is in excess of $5 million.
