A class action lawsuit claims the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Transport Workers Union together misappropriated millions of dollars in health care funds. Transit workers contributed to a special fund 10 years ago that would let them retire early, with full health benefits guaranteed, but the lawsuit, brought about by Transit Workers for Retirement Justice, claims that money has instead been used for current health benefits.
