A group of parents, whose children have all suffered brain damage from exposure to toxic mercury overdosing from childhood vaccinations, took a series of legal actions designed to put an end once and for all to mercury-laced vaccines and provide relief and hope for the millions of children who have already been exposed, suffering brain damage and autism.
During the past decade, the cumulative dose of toxic organic mercury from childhood vaccines increased from five to ten fold, while the average two-year old, via a routine vaccination schedule, received more than 20 times the amount of mercury exposure than the level recommended by US EPA guidelines set to protect developing infants from brain damage.
The American Academy of Pediatrics issued new guidelines in 1999 that urged utilizing only mercury-free vaccines.

Our family has suffered over the last three years due to my daughter's speech and social delays, as well as due to her behavioral issues (obsessive compulsive rituals and frequent highly disruptive tantrums).

I was not given any information of the dangers of these vaccines, not the choice to refuse it. If I was made aware of Thimerosal, I would have never allowed my child to receive those vaccines.

I had a happy, normal two year old until he received immunizations and became ill with flu-like sytoms for a number of days, after which he was a completely different child. My son was shortly thereafter diagnosed with autism. It took every cent I had for his therapy (over $500.00 per week). I lost my house and all savings. My relationship with my partner fell apart. I live in constant fear for my son's future especially after I'm no longer here.

At around 18 months old, after the scheduled shots, my child became silent and lost his ability to verbally communicate. Once ahead on all of his milestones, he began to fall increasingly behind. Now at 5 yrs old, he has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My daughter was a normal baby up until she got her booster shot. She stopped responding to me and would not make eye contact. She started having tantrums and developed strange ticks. I didn't even know what autism was until she was diagnosed by Broward County's Child Find organization. There are no words to describe the emotional trauma this has caused everyone in our family. Not to metion the feeling of helplessness knowing what had caused it and unable to do anything about it.

We had to place him in special education classes in school. He did not start talking until he was 4 years old. His learning has been very slow and we had to put him in special tutoring classes. He has to see a Psychiatrist every month and take medication every day.

My whole life changed when my son was diagnosed with Autism. We could no longer do things as a family as my son could not handle being in certain environments. My husband began to drink and our family fell apart. I am now a single parent fighting every step of the way to keep our heads above water. I don't have a social life at all. We rarely go anywhere because my son cant handle being places for very long. My family excludes us a lot from family events because of how my son is. I will be single for the rest of my life as I'm sure no man would be able to deal with the way my lifestyle is now. I have only been able to work part-time because I have to be home with my son before and after school. He is 14 now, and I know that he will be with me for the rest of my life. My greatest fear is what will happen to him after I'm gone.

My son who is now 12, developed normally and after being vaccinated developed severe autism. He still is unable to talk and is extremely hyper active. He will never be able to care for himself because of his autism. He was asked to be removed from day care at the age of three because of his disability. I am unable to work because it's hard to find someone who can watch him. I know my son's autism was caused by the mercury that was in the vaccines he received. I just want the CDC to admit it and pay for his therapy and future care. He has been unable to get the therapy he needs because the insurance companies won't pay for it. They won't pay for it unless he was in an accident. We are unable to pay for it privately. Because of this my son will never be able to communicate his needs or live a normal life and niether will I. Please help us get justice for what has been done to our family and for millions of others just like us. I have hair samples of his when he was a baby and his original vaccine card.

My child has autism. He was born on April 27,1997. As a baby he cried alot. He did not walk until he was two and a half years old. He spoke at the age of one then later stopped speaking. He was later diagnosed at the age of three as having autism. My son has alot of temper tantrums and he has been throwing objects, he has problems with concentration (also) due to autism.

on Dec 21, 2001 he recieved his first 4 shot vacines. On Feb 25, 2002 he recieved 4 more vacine shot. His developement was normal till his first year, at the 15 month mark his development stoped and started going backwards. On his 2nd year birthday, he was diagnosed with Autism and development delay. I have always said that without those vaccines he would have been normal.
Now we have to assist him constantly with his speech and other functions. The pain and suffering that he has undergone including the family is priceless.

My son will never be independent. He is now 19 and has the IQ of a one and a half year old. Our lives have been challenging to say the least. It changed our whole lives. He must have constant care by us. We have endured so much stress over the years.

Since my daughter was a baby we have noticed certain differences in her that we had never noticed in other children. Finally when she was 3 years old we chose to take her to be evaluated. She was admitted into the special preschool program and began seeing specialist after specialist. She was able to speak clearly until she was 5 years old. Being that we were from a very small town we had no resources besides the ones the school offered to find out exactly what was wrong with our little girl. Meeting after meeting tried to explain what was wrong or I should say different about my little girl... nothing quite fit her, they labeled her as ADHD then they said she was retarded although a heartbreaking word to hear it was just unacceptable for my husband and I to accept. We knew something was wrong with her but everything the specialists were suggesting just did not fit my daughter. We finally moved to a larger city with schools with more resources it was there that we finally figured out what was wrong with my baby girl.
She was given tests again seeing specialists and Autism was brought to our attention. Doing research reading books seeing studies that described my daughter closer to perfect anything we had heard of her entire life. A child psychologist was brought in along with a team of specialists that specialized in autism .FINALLY an official diagnosis was made for my daughter she is autistic it brought relief to our hearts because now we knew what was wrong and how to help her.
