A class action lawsuit has been filed against Cebridge Telecom WV, doing business as Suddenlink. The suit was filed on behalf of Internet customers who were overcharged monthly payments. The suit claims Suddenlink has taken part in unlawful, deceptive acts, which involve the incorrect imposition of monthly charges for 384K high-speed Internet service to West Virginia consumers. The suit claims customers who subscribed to the 384K high-speed Internet service were incorrectly charged $39.99 a month instead of $29.99.

AT THE END OF JAN I PAID MY BILL IN FULL ON TIME. FEB I WAS CHARGED A LATE FEE AND MY SLOW SPEED INTERNET WAS RAISED FROM 57 TO 67 A MONTH. I CALLED AND THE AGENT TOLD ME HE WOULD TAKE OFF THE LATE FEE. WHEN I PAID THE BILL THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM REFLECTED THE CREDIT FROM THE AGENT. I PAID ON TIME IN FULL.. MY NEXT BILL SHOWED A LATE FEE OF TEN DOLLARS. I CALLED THE AGENT AND HE SAID THE BILL WASNT PAID ON TIME. I DUG OUT MY BANK STATEMENT AND SUDDENLINK HAD TAKEN THE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT 5 DATS BEFORE IT WAS DUE. WHEN I GAVE THE AGENT THE INFORMATION TO THE AGENT HE TOOK THE LATE FEE OFF MYBILL. I PAID THE AMOUNT THE AUTOMATED SAID I OWED DAYS BEFORE IT WAS DUE. MY LAST BILL SHOWED A PREVIOUS BALANCE OF $35. I PAID $68 ONLY AND CALLED SUDDENLINK TO CORRECT MY BILL. THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM SAID THEY WERE EXPRIENCING HEAVIER THAN AVERAGE CALLING DUE TO CORONIA VIRUS AND WOULD NOT CONNECT ME WITH AN AGENT.. I SUSPECT THE HEAVY CALL VOLUME HAD MORE TO DO WITH OVERCHARGING CUSTOMERS THAN THE VIRUS, SPENT HOURS ONLINE ATTEMPTING TO FIND A WAY TO INFORM THEM OF MY PROBLEM. ALL I COULD FIND WAS A STATEMENT INFORMING ME I WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO AN AGENT BY PHONE TO DISPUTE MY BILL. ILL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW.. I FOUND A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT HAS BEEN FILLED IN ARKANSAS I AN JOINING THE LAWSUIT AND IF THEY IF DONT GIET IT RIGHT NRXT MONTH IM DROPPING SUDDENLINK, THEY WILL FIND THE ROUTER WHERE IT LANDED WHEN I THREW IT OUTSIDE.

I am in a location where I have no option other than Suddenlink. I had service for 10 years at the same residence. We paid for HDMI which we never had installed properly as the tech said he would return but never did. We paid for tech service monthly in the event it was needed. The bill went from about $120 a month to over $200 despite repeated requests as to how we could reduce services. Was told things were bundled and couldn't be eliminated. In the end I was basically paying about $115 a month for STARZ which is under $20 anywhere else..I think even with them...when I got a new TV the HDMI problem was exacerbated and I called to request a tech visit..the rep insisted I read her serial numbers off equipment which had never been seen since the install in 2010. We paid about $1300 for the rental of a modem for which they charge $80 to buy new, $1200 in unused tech visits insurance, and I cant even bring myself to do the calculation for STARZ. We are now watching our hundreds of dvds and using hot spots from cell phones for internet usage. I am paying for subscriptions to amazon prime and netflix that I can't use due to no internet happily that Suddenlink is out of my life.

Suddenlink’s internet is not reliable. If temperature goes below 25 degrees it goes off. I have a son in college that can’t do his homework with no internet.
Get the problem fixed please. Thank you

Suddenlink is charging me a service call fee for the month of May, for running a line from the pole to my house, so my service will work. We rarely had internet in the past, though we paid for it. I kept a log where we were without the services we paid for for over 3 weeks. Some days there would be 2 hours it worked, the rest of the time it did not. The customer service people assured me that there would NOT be a fee since it was a problem on their end. The guy came in our house simple to check the TV to see if it worked. They are saying he programmed our remote and that's the reason for the fee. WHAT? We know how to program our remote! It just affirmed to him that our stuff was NOT the problem. He did nothing inside our house to help the issue. The issue was outside and totally a Suddenlink problem.
We had already paid $70 in February to have a tech come inside...and the service did not get fixed after that service call...but we paid for it. WHY would we need another inside tech, when we'd just had one? They are a fraudulent company and need to be stopped.

Worst company and worst management in History..
They offered me the deal of a lifetime...for $110 ..bill came in at $240..they stated that i lied..after 3 weeks they found the recording of my offer..and agreed they were wrong and lied.
They only said they could get to my price by cutting service done to almost nothing..by but said they would erase ALL MY PAST BILL....stupidly i agreed
..next bill $574 ...i have recordings from Aaron stating they did a BAIT AND SWITCH..

Moving north of town where SL doesnt have service. Pay $100 a month, no complaints about service.
Go to turn in my modem on the 8th of this month, rude customer service rep tells me that my billing cycle started on the 2nd so Im expected to pay the full month of service, even though I only used 5 days. This is clearly theft. Suddenlink is a utility company since they offer phone service, and they cannot charge me for services they have not rendered. I have heard there is a class action lawsuit regarding this and I want in.

Our internet has not been working well for awhile. A tv box went out in our home. The lady at the office said we needed the new Tevo eqipment. I told them what i had was fine. She gave me another 'used' box. It would not work.
.
I took it back and she gave me a second 'used' box. It wouldnt work either. She insisted we had old out dated equipment and needed the new upgrade. We reluntantly accepted.
.
The suddenlink installer came the next day and he told us she had sold us the wrong combination of boxes and didnt understand why. He called in and changed the order and installed it. When he left it was working. The lady who sold it to us was angry and told us we should have left it alone!
.
Then something happened and we were without internet through Christmas and after New Years. The same lady told us she had put in a service order to come fix it. I finally got hold of the main office in TX several days later and they said there was no work order to come to our home! So I made one..another week of waiting.
.
Today they were supposed to come and fix it, we got a recorded call that we would be billed $60.00 if we still wanted them to come out and repair their service! We declined and our service is still not working correctly.

We was told that if we switched from AT&T and paid our bill for 3 months and we would get a $50 amazon gift card. It was $79.99 for 100 megs. We paid that for 2 months, and went in to the local office and told them how much money we had on our card and to not run if for the fill payment, cause we had the rest in cash. She did it anyway. So no gift card, and it put it in the system as a parcel paymeat. Meaning that the month after we were past due. Our bill then went from $79.99 to over $100. We later found out that our bill was getting mixed up with a Fey Cole, and that we were paying for her bill for 100 meg internet, phone, T.V, and whatever P.P.V she was renting. A lady that works for Suddenlink was on the phone with us going over our bill and seen where she had rented movies, and told us it was something that they did and that they were sorry. Still month after month our bill goes up and up. Our $79.99 bill is now over $200.

I too have been terribly wronged by Suddenlink! My apartment comes with free basic cable. I went to upgrade my channels & obtain internet services. They increased my internet speed complmentarly as a VIP Member. I noticed my computer freezing up a lot & I had no hi-speed to speak of. Once I started complaining that I would like to get service I am paying for. They upgraded my internet without asking me knowing that the router & modem were not capable of giving me this service! They switched out routers, I had tech support out to my apt several times only to be told the hi-speed is only guaranteed if hard wired in to router via ethernet cable!!! What? Why have a wireless router if it can't be used as a wireless device? Then they told me it was my computer. I went & bought a hi dollar top of the line computer. They tried to tell me the same thing. A few routers later they put in a modem router that still wasn't capable if providing the service I have been paying paying for years now. Their equipment is not capable of providing the hi-speed internet as advertised. And they certainly don't tell you so you could go out & buy one of your own. I have been a customer for 9 yrs. I currently do not have internet nor cable. I quit as of lsdt week. I've had enough of getting the run around, wasting my time & money. Hoping to find an attorney that's brave enough to take this monopoly on now. Wish me luck. Get on board

I just had my bill adjusted by suddenlink because I was over paying $11 every month for my internet. This has been going on for years. They only offered me a $30 credit. I found this out because I compared my bill to my neighbors. I have a 3 year old and have been fighting very hard to save every penny we have. To find out we have been overcharged for years makes me very upset. I would like something to be done about this.

I sought this page for the same reasons. We are being billed ridiculous amounts for lesser services. Not to mention that their fiber optic trunk and pole are on MY property line. I don't like it there and have every right to cut it out. As soon as we switched to Internet only, the bills started tripling.

I had went to Suddenlink years ago and signed up for cable and unlimitied internet, I had chose the channels I wanted and made my payment every month, I paid automatically through my bank what my monthly amount was and also paid 10 to 12.00 dollars more each month, which would have given me a credit on my bill.
In November my internet service was shutoff for not paying my bill. I was out of town and my daughter paid the amount not knowing I paid it auto each month. When I got home, I contacted them and to see what was going on and they informed me that they changed my plan without talking to me about it first and switched me to a plan where I no longer had unlimited wifi services anymore. I had no idea this had happen, like I said, I paid my bill auto each month and paid higher than what my bill was suppose to be.
What had happened was once my credit that I had occurred had ran out than they could no longer get money from me for the charges of overage for wifi that was being used. I had bought tablets and ipod for my family and when they where around each week they used my wifi. I had told them it was unlimited, so if they wanted to watch movies, play games, check their Facebook, etc. it would be fine because I had unlimited service just like I did with my cellphone. They didn't have unlimited on their phones so they would connect to me.
I feel when you sign up for a certain plan, that is the plan you should have and until they talk to you about it, they shouldn't change anything.
I feel Suddenlink just keeps getting higher and higher and their service kicks out all the time, they have put boosters on the side of my house, ran new lines from the road up and I constantly have to reboot my modem and wifi boxes. I am so sick of all these companies taking advantage of their good paying customers they have had for years that have been loyal and stayed with them and supported them. I feel ones who have been customers for years should be grandfathered in like the cellphone complanies do and when you pick a plan that is your plan and when they don't offer it anymore others that have it shouldn't have to suffer because they stayed with them and helped them build their companies up.
I feel we should all be re-imbursed for monies overcharged for internet services used and we should be able to keep our unlimited service, only those new customers coming in maynot be able to get unlimitited. It is only fair to us that have stayed with them of 30 some years.....

I started with a nice deal from Cox Communications. I ended up with a deal gone sour from Suddenlink. They are attempting to charge me almost $50 more a month for services I had been recieving for almost 2 years for cheaper. They messed up when transferring services and are taking it out on me. On top of all that, they disconnected my phone for 2 days without even giving me advanced notice over the holiday. I have been going back and forth with them and I am really just sick of it.
