A class action lawsuit has been filed against State Farm Fire and Casualty Co. on behalf of a potential class of thousands of former and current State Farm homeowner's policyholders. The suit alleges that the company has been under-compensating policyholders who have had a history of claims against their insurance policies, and that the company treats its policyholders "in a materially different manner for purposes of loss evaluation, negotiation and adjustment, depending upon whether the insured has a State Farm claims history." The suit charges the company with bad faith acts, fraud, failure to disclose, unjust enrichment and breach of express contract.

State Farm only partialy compensated me for my fire loss and have left me homeless. They refuse to give reasons as to why they will not pay my claim in full. I am disabled and feel that they are taking advantage of that. They owe me for the home that I lost, adequate temporary housing, and for the pain and suffering I've endured because of their negligence.
