Class action status is being sought in a federal lawsuit filed against Starbucks on behalf of store managers. The suit alleges that the plaintiffs were forced to work unpaid overtime due to their designation as managers, even though their duties were nearly identical to those of the the coffee-brewing sales clerks who are paid hourly. The suit alleges that the managerial duties, including ordering supplies and other work, could not be completed during regular hours.
