A class action lawsuit has been filed against Southern Pacific Petroleum and eight other companies on behalf of more than 100 claimants who live in the Yarwun and Targinnie areas, which are near the demonstration plant. The suit alleges personal injury, nuisance and property devaluation in regards to the Stuart shale oil project near Gladstone in Australia.
