A lawsuit has been filed and is seeking class action status against the school claiming students were exposed to toxic mold. The suit claims potentially harmful mold was found on the school campus and that students could suffer negative health effects from exposure.
In December of 2006, a school student tested positive for a toxin caused by mold. Since then three other students have joined the lawsuit against Plantation Elementary School.
