Samsung & LG Face Employee Anti-Poaching Class Action Lawsuit

- by

Santa Clara, CA: Samsung and LG are facing an antitrust class action lawsuit over allegations they have a clandestine agreement not to head hunt each other’s US employees.

Filed in Northern California federal court by a former LG sales manager, the complaint claims that Samsung and LG are in violation of antitrust laws. The plaintiff believes the two South Korean companies have worked together to drive down employee wages.

According to plaintiff, A. Frost, he was contacted in 2013 by a recruiter via LinkedIn. The recruiter was trying to fill a position with Samsung. However, when Frost responded to the inquiry the recruiter replied to Frost on the site, saying: "I made a mistake! I'm not supposed to poach LG for Samsung!!! Sorry! The two companies have an agreement that they won't steal each other's employees".

The plaintiff is represented by Joseph Saveri Law Firm.
