A class action suit filed against the owner of Royal Oasis Resort in the Bahamas by resort timeshare owners allege breach of contract and breach of the implied duty of good faith and fair dealing. They claim to have had no communication with the resort since November 2004 regarding the vacation club, scheduled to re-open June 2005 after two hurricanes in September 2004 closed it down. According to the agreement with the resort, after paying membership, timeshare owners are entitled to all advantages and benefits of the club for 21 consecutive years.

My husband and I traveled to the Bahamas for our late honeymoon. We bought a time share with them and then the hurricane hit. We never heard anything from them again and we were still paying for the timeshare. RCI keeps mailing us these letters stating that our account has been blocked due to the fact we havent paid our maintenance fees. How can our account be blocked and the resort doesnt even exist anymore!!!!! I have all of the doucmentation we signed when we purchased the timeshare. Can someone please help us retrieve our losses!! Thank you soooooo much!!!
