Class action status has been granted to a two year old lawsuit filed against Ricart automotive, claiming that the company charged excessive interest on products it sold to poor people through Ricart-owned P.A. Days Inc., the corporate name for about a dozen Payday used-car dealerships that Ricart operates in Ohio.
The original suit included five Central Ohio residents, however with class action status, that number is expected to rise to represent thousands of Payday customers who acquired vehicles from Ricart since the mid-1990's.
